Deprive you... not at all. It's just feeding a disorder that probably should not be fed. If you'll want to continue, have at it, but it won't help him IRL.
A 30 day break might benefit him the most. Negative consequences are about the only thing he actually understands. Telling him he's wrong does not get threw, not talking to him will.
