If you're like me, you have plenty of explanations for what and why you eat what you do - but how many people realize that between 1990 and today, the market for meat in the us has become a contractual obligation that survives death, attached to property, driving prices up..rather than down..with no clear profit to producer over non contractual arrangements, despite the exorbitant cost of buy in?
