I think the question you asked is interesting. So let's talk about it.
You are right to point out that people's perceptions don't always give us accurate impressions of the world. So I ask you, deepend... does that mean that there is no real truth out there? Is there a way (perhaps systematic observation where bias is minimized, or at least accounted for) in which we might generate a more accurate picture of the world?
There is real truth out there. But I am only interested in truth on important matters. How to know what the truth is? For the most part it is the opposite of what the vast majority of people think it is. Also, for the vast majority of people, they just don't care. That is mostly because of brainwashing. Frank Zappa did a good song about the brainwashing power of television. (Though of course that isn't the only source) The song is called, "I'm The Slime." I will tell you some of the lyrics. I know them by heart. "You will obey me while I lead you. And eat the garbage that I feed you. Until the day that we don't need you. Don't go for help, no one will heed you. Your mind is totally controlled. It has been stuffed into my mold. And you will do as you are told. Until the rights to you are sold." I have tried to the extent I am allowed around here and at many forums to give people a more accurate picture of the world. It just isn't allowed.
Sounds like the 'truth' you want to tell about is very subjective.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
