Here's to hoping, for the soldiers on both ends, that russia realizes now is not the moment for it's imperial ambition - rather, that they need to be seriously concerned with whether they can hold crimea or donbas, and.... if so, how long they can absorb the cost of that occupation.
Russia will have to clean this up quicker than they've already been there, even if all they want they want to accomplish is systematic depopulation - that's still man hours. Reducing some buildings as they run for the exits isn't going to accomplish that.
