1. Ukraine is geographically/culturally closer to Europe than the other countries mentioned.
2. The Ukraine/Russia conflict involves a vilified hostile nuclear mega country INVADING a sovereign state and so is of more concern in the zeitgeist than the other "civil war type" conflicts mentioned..
3. It is pretty damn clear who should be supported in in the Russia/Ukraine conflict, unlike in the other conflicts (less so in Afghanistan perhaps).
4. Syrians and Afghans are not usually described as being "black." Their populations are not made up by even close to a majority of the close descendants of native black looking Africans
5. The Western media has been absolutely flooded with BLM style propoganda for years, so saying the "the black looking" do not receive an even amount of media attention is, er, wrong.
But no, it's Western media being racist against black looking people. And he's the head of the WHO so we'd better listen! Deities wept, once again.
Quote:The head of the World Health Organisation (WHO) says the world does not give equal attention to emergencies affecting black and white people.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said only a fraction of the help given to Ukraine was given to other humanitarian crises.
Assisting Ukraine is "very important" because it "impacts the whole world", he said.
But Tigray province in Ethiopia, Yemen, Afghanistan or Syria are not receiving the same attention, he said.
