My point - execution is a deliberate act. Pre-meditated and carefully carried out.
This is the only part that matters, and your speculation is giving the cop the benefit of the doubt. I don't think it would be unwarranted to call it an "execution" if he was intent on shooting the suspect in the head while on the suspect's back - but it also doesn't matter at all. Whether he intended to shoot him or it legitimately was an accidental discharge should be the focus here. A semantics debate over whether it is technically "execution" because the suspect wasn't zip-tied or something is a silly waste of time and energy.
Also you're falling for the classic social media trick - a few people say something and you immediately assume it's a widespread belief. "Protestors," as if hundreds or thousands may be saying this, when in reality it's a dozen people on social media getting likes from people who are also being tricked and manipulated.
