Might not have been handled in the best way possible, but I didn't see the cop commit any crime. The guy was still in the process of wrestling the cop a second before the shot, pushing the cop up into the air with his back, and the guy had a weapon in his hand. Not saying things went perfectly smoothly, but the shooting looks justified to me. Him getting shot from behind looks bad optically, but that doesn't change the reality that he was wrestling the cop for a period of time and had a weapon that could neutralize the officer, even if that is an unlikely possibility, it's still there, and I think that's all that matters.
