I'm sure you had dinner today, which had to sacrifice it's life to sustain yours, we place no morality on cases of survival. Therefor the same laws that apply naturally apply spiritually. As natural man has to consume food to survive, so does the spirit man, Hence why Jesus states "I am the bread that came down from heaven" and " Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you."
The only difference is, Jesus gave his life willingly, the animal y'all ate, not so much...
Huggy, I do not believe in "spiritual" laws. At all. I believe that there are no benefits whatsoever to accepting the long-weekend pseudo-sacrifice of the heavily mythologized "Jesus" character. I believe with 100% certainty that "salvation" is mythical, that at the end of our lives we're just going to our respective graves and staying there, and that every prayer you have ever uttered is just wasted breath.
I reject substitutionary atonement unconditionally. If there ever was a real-life Jesus who believed that he was dying for my sake, well, sucks to be him.
I know you don't believe in spiritual laws, that doesn't stop atheists from stating how immoral vicarious redemption is. The point was is 'vicarious redemption' no more immoral than the practices you currently engage in.
