That's not an answer to the question, furthermore Jesus wasn't demanded to do anything, He's God... who's making the demand?
Since it is axiomatic that God cannot behave in a manner contrary to his nature, God demanded he make a human sacrifice. That doesn't make substitutive redemption any less impossible.
