How the fuck are there homeless people like brooooo just go rent an apartment like it's not hard lol

Google the average rent of a one bedroom apartment in the US - it’s just over $1000/month. If securing a flat works the same way in the US as it does here, you need a decent credit rating and $3000 to move in. How many homeless people do you imagine can do that?
