I'm not moving the goalposts, I'm being more specific with my wording so you don't jump around with attempted witty remarks like "joint ownership isn't ownership. Oooo k".

You other reasons for loving your country are at least valid, although I don't accept the reason "because it is simply my country". If you were living somewhere like North Korea and had the same views (politically etc) then I suspect you wouldn't love your country simply "because".

I don't love my country, and I would never love my country just because. In my opinion love / patriotism needs to be deserved. I think I probably feel more patriotic towards the USA over England, for one of the reasons you stated; freedom of expression.
