Look, accusing the preacher with "insanity" is as ancient as hell, it's even a given fact in the Quran:

Sura 51, The Quran:

(53) Have they enjoined (this saying) one to another? No indeed, (but) they are an inordinate people.

I agree that accusing preachers of insanity (or at the very least, being mentally aberrant) is a very, very old tradition.
