A determination by the elementary school counselor (who has a Dr. degree). I read up on Asbergers and I agree that this is probably correct. I think I should get a second opinion. I don't know what I could do with a second opinion but perhaps it might be useful. It doesn't seem to matter the school refuses to do anything.
If you have a real diagnosis from an actual neurologist (not just a suggestion from someone with a doctorate in child development or education), and the school isn't making accommodations for your child's learning disability, you can sue them under the ADA to force their hand.
