Yup, I've decided to make a new variation on America: The Drinking Game. Normally, every time an According to Hoyle mass murder (4+ dead) takes place, you take a shot. Now, every time one takes place in a gay bar, take a Cosmo.
On a more serious note, apparently, the shooter is the grandson of a long-time California Republican politician who was off the grid enough to compare January 6th to the Battles of Lexington and Concord and the man himself was apparently the sort of person who sends a bomb threat to his mother, and when the cops came for him, started a four-hour standoff so severe that the neighbours had to be evacuated. This somehow didn't result in any charges.
