I'm a 53 year old atheist, but if asked in public will swear up and down it's a typo and I'm actually 35. (I am. I AM. I swear. Sort of.)
I've bounced around a fair bit since escaping evangelical christianity as a teenager (I left at about 14 and never looked back), and looked around for a belief system that made sense, until I realized, at around forty, that I was hanging onto "needing" some sort of religious label for myself since... if I wasn't practicing *something*... what even was I? Figuring out that I was queer was easier than letting go of the indoctrination I was raised with, I guess. (also hehe.)
I'm relatively newly transplanted to Las Vegas, since 2020, and I live with the husband and we're owned by three horrible cats who will likely eat us the minute we're room temperature. I don't care. I love them desperately. They'd love me with barbecue sauce.
