How much pain can atheists withstand ?

A few, I'd like to think.  No curbstomping the neighbors infants, for example.  Don't eat things alive asshole first.  That sort of stuff.

For all we know, there may be some counter-intuitive set of facts that makes curbstomping the neighbor's infant a good deed. I can't readily imagine one, but there might be, theoretically.
