And yet it happens because religion is that reason. Jewish god, Lord Jealous, tells Jews to hate people of other religions, and these nuns were lucky that they didn't throw them out or even worse, especially since they are in Jewish Holy Land where god of the Bible sees ethnic cleansing as the only solution to get rid of an unwanted religious group.
