I joined this forum because I'm retired and have been looking for ways to pass the time of day. I've been retired on permanent disability since mid 2015, and my wife is still working full time, so I'm home by myself a lot.
I'm a life time Atheist despite being born and raised in a Catholic family of 6. I had 3 sisters growing up, and we lived in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in Burbank, CA. Even though I went to Catholic school for 9 years and had to go to mass every Sunday until I was almost 18, I've never believed in any god/gods.
I've been married for almost 41 years now, and despite my wife, along with both of our kids and their spouses being devout christians, I'm still a non-believer.
I'm a huge music fan, and have been a metalhead for over 40 years. Black/death metal music is my favorite genre of music, but I can listen to any type of rock music. I even like classical music.
I'm also a fan of everything related to Halloween, horror movies or fiction, the occult, history, WWII, etc. Basically anything most people aren't a fan of. I've never been normal, and at my age(64), I never will be. I'm heavily tattooed, mostly Halloween, heretical, occult, or band tattoos. I've got 3 memorial tattoos on my chest, for my mom, my older sister, and our granddaughter Piper, who was stillborn.
I'm just hoping to have some conversations with a few like-minded people like myself.
