Quote:Numbers aren't proof but they are often evidence.Number themselves are aren't even evidence unless we have way to confirm those numbers or justify their relevance to the subject being discussed. The numbers here are flawed because they are based on faulty assumptions . That Atheism should be appealing in order to be correct. That atheists have the goals as religious people(trying to become some sort of broad demographic) Also let's take into account the fact that in many places being openly irreligious comes with serious consequences socially hell were barely tolerated in the west. So any numbers should be taken with grain of salt. Also consider the fact a lot of people who are atheist would describe themselves as such heck a decade ago i wouldn't have i had never been religious but i never gave myself a label and some atheist overlap with other quasi religious idea's ( I now atheists who are Wiccans but would never call themselves as they associate that idea with materialism or a lack of spirituality) So if were even going to start this question we have to define atheism and a reliable way to actually tell whose actually genuinely holds religious beliefs or the numbers don't matter much.
