The belief that guns save more lives than they take can't be based on klecks study, kleck simply (mis)estimated the number of times americans pull a gun on a stranger. Doesn't have a fucking thing to do with guns saving lives, and if taken as true uncritically, would suggest that guns endanger far more lives than we know or have official reports for. Which...ofc they do.....because they're dangerous. Dangerous nuts wouldn't be convinced they needed them to survive in hellscape USA if they weren't - just like simple minded nuts somehow fail to realize that taking someones life, even in defense, can only ever be a complete wash on the "do guns save lives" question. Didn't save the purely imaginary dead assailant, huh?
