Yes, the Bible approves of abortion.

It's very interesting for a "number" (snort) of reasons. 

1. As you imply the Bible approves of abortion here. The husband who suspects his wife of infidelity takes her to the priests, (of course pays the priests) and they do a curse, and write it out, with ink that then flows into a liquid which she ingests, which may cause an abortion. I suspect they used different ink depending on what the priests and her husband wanted to happen. 

2. The language is what's interesting. As with the story of Jacob's "generative wound" (received when wrestling with the angel) the editors culturally would not actually say the words meaning "genitals" or "womb". "Thigh" is used in place of genitals, and "belly" in place of "womb".  The woman agrees with the curse, and either she or the priests sign it (most likely with a sort of poison ink that is known to be toxic. If she aborts, she is then known to be guilty. So a "possible" infidelity resulting in a pregnancy, is dealt with by abortion. It appears the poison has some long lasting, permanent effects.
