Lol. I'll take just 2 for now.
"The Atheist No True Scotsman/Scientist Logical Fallacy:
"1. I, an Atheist, dogmatically affirm that No True Scientist could ever possibly support Creation and/or Intelligent Design.
2. I am then presented with loads of unimpeachable evidence that Scientists with the highest of Academic Credentials do this.
3. Therefore, I, an Atheist, affirm that, since No True Scientist could ever possibly support Creation and/or Intelligent Design (as I, an Atheist, stated without proving it in the first premise), therefore Creation Scientists and ID Scientists are allegedly not Scientists."
Sophisms, sophisms, and more sophisms.
And to Thump: The Catholic Church is the largest organizational Health Care Provider in the entire world, as the Wiki article in my signature documents. Even the Anti-Catholic Voltaire praised the Good Work done by such Saintly Souls as Catholic Nuns even in his time, to whom of course I donate in ours; because they do such Good Work for All People in India, irrespective of religion; and indeed on Multiple Continents as I've mentioned. It's also reasonable for those who want to attack the Church on these grounds to be asked how much they're doing for Charities/Health Care/Orphanages themselves. If they're doing less, then they criticizing the Church for it is like someone who hasn't done comparatively any space research criticizing NASA saying: "NASA just isn't doing sufficient space research", implying he/she could do it better.
Btw, you should know giving to the Poor also counts as giving to the Lord, as the Lord says in Mat 25. I donate not only to Christian but also Secular Organizations in some cases when I see them doing Good Work. It all depends on who does Good Work. Catholic Nuns/Sisters surely do.
See these: "Anti-Christian persecution in India attracted worldwide attention in 2008 when violence in the northeastern state of Orissa left 90 dead and fifty thousand homeless (see “Kill Christians and Destroy Their Institutions,” CWR, December 2008). Most anti-Christian persecution, however—such as these incidents that took place during the last six months of 2009—is rarely mentioned in the Western media.
• In July, the BJP government in Karnataka refused to extend a property lease and demanded that a Catholic social service agency return 58 acres to the government. In 1977, the state government had leased the property to the agency to help care for leprosy patients. Over the years, the agency built 60 houses for leprosy and AIDS patients, as well as a factory, a job training center, and a dispensary. Upon implementation, the government decision will leave 360 homeless." From: https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2011...e-of-hope/
"Almost unknown in the United States, the Indian-based Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, founded by Blessed Mary of the Passion in 1877, number 7,050. Combining Eucharistic contemplation with missionary activity, they serve on six continents and are most active in Asia and Europe. Unlike other leading women’s religious institutes, the institute displays on its website numerous pictures of members without habits. The institute’s membership declined by 189 between 2006 and 2008.
The Franciscan Clarist Congregation, founded in 1888, is based in Kerala, the southwestern Indian state that has been the nation’s center of Catholicism since its evangelization by St. Thomas the Apostle. Canonized by Pope Benedict in 2008, St. Alphonsa of the Immaculate Conception (1910-46)—a Franciscan Clarist, and the nation’s first canonized saint—combined the spirituality of St. Francis with that of the Easternrite Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. The congregation, which serves the elderly, orphans, lepers, AIDS patients, and others in need, has 6,984 members—a gain of 62 between 2006 and 2008."
