The many reports of sr protoypes, for example, we're officially discounted as weather and other anomalies. They officially called the people who saw sr protoypes crazy and or ignorant - while leaving actual weather and anomalies up as "unidentified" to further muddy the pool.
Hope springs eternal, though, so the next one is always the big one, and it's gonna be different this time. Let's test that theory. Let's assume this is real oversight. Well, they've already said that nothing has been held back from them and they've seen no evidence of any ufos at all, let alone recovered alien tech. So that's the final word. Right? All done, no need for another?
You are right on the first bit. There was actually a poor civilian named Paul Bennewitz, who was witness to one of our early black ops projects, and he was manipulated by the intelligence apparatus into thinking it was alien technology so nobody would believe him. In fact, they were so convincing that he went insane after nobody believed him and later killed himself. One of the disinformation agents, Richard Doty, admitted on camera to manipulating multiple military pilots and civilians (including Bennewitz) into believing the black ops projects they saw were alien. You are absolutely correct that this same phenomena could be happening, and the whistleblowers have been lied to. This is a possibility.
However, in the case of Bennewitz, the intelligence apparatus was united. What we're seeing now are factions within the Pentagon at war with itself. Remember, the only reason any of this is happening is because there were people at the Pentagon who decided that the leaked "Nimitz" video should be verified; at first, they denied it outright and claimed it was fake. Additionally, we are talking about advanced technology captured on FLIR in 2004. That's some time ago for something that is allegedly so advanced.
So, regardless of whether this is alien technology or just insanely advanced technology made by the US, aggressive inquiries by the legislative branch will uncover it. It's just a matter of how much they really want to fight the Pentagon and all the private companies that profit off of death machines. Regarding any AARO statements (which is the new division that the Pentagon is making UAP statements from), I do want to point out that AARO does not actually have the correct clearance to review anything the whistleblowers are talking about. I assume that was intentional so that the Pentagon can claim ignorance. It's actually pretty funny. But folks who haven't read into this wouldn't know that, so folks like Messiah over there are like "hurr durr military complex said it didn't do anything wrong, I trust them!"
I will push back on your last statement though. Congress does not have everything Grusch has. Grusch explicitly stated to the subcommittee that he has exact information on location of non-human crafts and bodies along with satellite photos. They are currently with the Inspector General's office and can be shared with members of Congress if the Pentagon permits Grusch to hold a meeting with members of Congress in a SCIF. They are not letting him. That's why Grusch made it clear to the subcommittee that they need to take action on transparency first before anything serious can materialize. He also says he can provide a list of witnesses that can verify what he is saying, along with a list of hostile witnesses who are actively trying to stop him. Grusch also testified that people have been intimidated "in a disturbing way" and even seriously injured to keep this a secret... if they can provide direct evidence of that... well, shit. So there is plenty more to investigate, it's far from over.
One of my biggest pet peeves is being ridiculed. "Oh, any day now, huh you fuckin nutter?" I'm sorry, but this is legitimately exciting and at worst it may end up being that we uncover some seriously horrid corruption and misuse of taxpayer funds and send some Lockheed EVPs to prison. Best case, we get aliens. Win/win in my book.
Edit: I guess the worst case scenario is actually... nothing happens after this. Lmao.
