We have PR in Ireland, but thanks to civil war politics we've ended up with two large right wing parties, a small left wing party that will do whatever the fuck it's told and a mass of independents who contribute nothing outside of their constituency.
Compared to the American system though, or indeed the British, it seems light years ahead. How can you accept a system where you win the popular vote but lose the election?
