That's because all the gods are nothing but anthropomorphic projections.
It will all change eventually when and if alien cultures are identified and met.

That said, I did say that god is nothing more than a psychological need, or a psychological predisposition as someone else put it. If only there was a way to overcome it, and there most likely isn't.
Still, it seems more people have started leaving religion in recent years, and while I still think maybe a small number of people will still practice religion by the time the people leaving religion thing is done, I can see the number of people not practicing religion to vastly outweigh those who still practice it.
