Remember that there’s a context to Roger Water’s Nazi getup in The Wall. That it’s a symbol of his alienation from his own humanity and the power that he holds over his fans. And that he has to destroy that part of himself, even if he doesn’t end up surviving. I would have thought that was obvious, but then the big controversy over it came into play last year.
That part of the second platter of The Wall was a bit of self-reflection after Roger caught himself spitting in the face of an adoring fan during the Animals tour, but lately he's reverted. Be nice if he went back to Granchester Meadows for a bit. chasing that fly.
