Uh, maybe I used the wrong word. I'm suggesting a hypothetical scenario in which too many people get abortions (perhaps because it's too accepted) and this jeopardizes human survival.

What you don't get is that most of us have either heard it before or heard some version before.  Many here were raised in religion.  We aren't ignorant when it comes to the teaching of the church leaders.

That may be true. It does not show in the conversations, though. I don’t mean that people agree with those teachings, but few questions or comments show an accurate understanding of what the Church teaches.

I wish I could say that growing up in the Church and attending Catholic schools  would give a person that accurate understanding. From what I see here and from what I see in my life, it does not. That is especially true with the weak catechesis and overbearing secular messaging of the last 50 years.

You are just one of a long line of theists who have shown up thinking they have the magic words that will convert the heathens to the one way.

I certainly believe that in your 20 yrs. on this site, you have seen more than your share of theists trying to convert heathens. Do you think that’s why I’m here?
