I mean what the actual fuck? How do they get away with this sort of stuff and how can you ever trust a company that behaves like this? Sometimes I really hate the tech world we live in... I remember a time when companies, particularly tech companies, weren't trying to swindle their customers in one way or another at every given opportunity, but sadly that's becoming more and more rare :-(
Ima just leave this here...

Believe me, I'd love to freely be able to jump ship to Linux... all my family uses it, and are perfect happy with it. The problem is the main thing I use Windows for is gaming; if Steam was fully supported on Linux, I'd make the move without a second thought and without looking back; I hate being beholden to a company that clearly has no respect for its customers, just in order to play games. I know Steam is trying to make at least some games compatible so that's at least a step in the right direction. Steam is about the only tech company left that I still trust and respect, because they haven't (IMO) gone the route of trying to exploit their customers... yet at least... so I hope they fully integrate with Linux in the future, one way or another... if that's possible, and fits in with the ethos of Linux, them being commercial and all.
