True ... and even then, like now, racial cleansing takes place all through Africa often in the name of holiness and/or purity. Which only serves to bolster my point about religion being tied to race for all time. Something amkerboy can't seem to wrap his tiny mind around.
The debate here is not who has done more slavery. There's little doubt that slavery has been around since humans could string sentences together. My OP was not in regards to all this. My OP was, WHY would a black person born and raised in America, knowing what he knows about our history, worship a god that supports the racist white people that enslaved his entire race in this country?
Well it depends on how you interpret the bible, as I see it while the bible is racist (in particularly the old testament). However it's a sort of racism is many of us aren't familiar with.
The curse of Ham in the Old Testament was a way blackening the "Canaanites", because Canaan was Ham's son. Also Egypt because the Bible have them descended from Ham. The whole story of Lot's daughters committing incest with him was also another character assassination on the peoples of Moab and Ammon (which are protracted as having descended from these incestuous liaisons).
