What Thump offered was an insult, not an ad hominem. Since you clearly don’t understand the difference, I’m happy to explain.

Firstly, an ad hominem is a logical fallacy where an attempt is made to discredit an argument based on some flaw (real or perceived) of the person making the argument. Since you haven’t made an argument, there can be no ad hominem.

As an example, if I were to say, ‘Lord Andreasson is a pig fucker’, that’s an insult. If I were to say, ‘Lord Andreasson’s argument doesn’t work because Lord Andreasson is a pig fucker,’ that’s an ad hominem.
