Thomas Aquinas has arrived in the United States! Yes, the one and only or at least what's left of him, or maybe not even that but the pieces of a corpse that could be him. So people can go and say "Hi" to his skull.
Quote:Cardinal Wilton Gregory celebrated a Mass at St. Dominic Church in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 29, 2024, when major relics of St. Thomas Aquinas -- including what is believed to be the saint's skull -- were displayed and then venerated after the Mass. Washington was the first of 10 cities where the relic was scheduled to be venerated during its stops in the United States through Dec. 18.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
