Five clues that an afterlife really does exist, according to astrophysicist
Dr Hugh Ross believes there are several clues that can point to there being life after death - although his claims are heavily disputed by scientists and other experts.
Astrophysicist and Christian author Dr Hugh Ross, has shared his five insights that he claims shows proof of an afterlife. His definition of life after death is when the soul leaves the body and goes to another plane of existence.
The first clue appears to be the universe's limits, namely that it may or may not be infinite suggesting there is something beyond our observable universe - aka god.
The second clue is what he described as "proven reliability" of the Bible. He claims the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament gave specific predictions about the rise and fall of future empires.
The third clue comes from people who have had encounters with unidentified flying objects, better known as UFOs. He said the object have been registered as non-physical entities - namely creating currents in the surrounding air.
Near death experiences (NDEs) are another believed line of evidence, according to Dr Ross.
A final evidence is that praying is effective enough to suggest the presence of "transcendent realm. People who are prayed for by believers in the Christian God experience measurably more rapid and complete recovery from surgeries or medically confirmed ailments than do people for whom no such prayer is offered."

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
