I have no reason to believe any of what those deluded fools say.
don't think your beliefs don't require faith. science has been wrong over and over again since it's origin. it changes over and over again so to believe in such theories they come up with for the origin of everything requires faith. in 100 years, they will probably come up with new evidence and laugh at the old theories we have today.
TheDarkestOfAngels Wrote:It's absolutely true.
People always accuse atheists of stating that their atheism is a positive claim that needs to be backed up by evidence as though "God Exists" is a default presumption.
That is not a default assumption. Positing that god exists and christian beliefs is a fact of reality is a positive, unsubstantiated claim.
There is no reason for anyone to believe it.
i don't think you caught what i said. the reason i said i'm being picky is b/c athiesm is not just a rejection of christianity. it would be of all religions. otherwise you have a good arguement.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
