What's the rest, though, morbid curiosity.  The way you describe hellscape america it's hard to imagine it getting worse.

Rather the left will continue to make the same mistakes it made in the 1920s 

Reacting too slowly, to the hateful genocidal threat, inherent in the ignorance and stupidity of extreme right wing bigotry?
