Hard to believe that "Hand Me Down World" is 55 years old! I played it on a 45 in my garage "discotheque" in 1970, when I was 12 going on 13, then played the living crap out of the album (went through two vinyl copies, and eventually got it on CD too.)
As for the original question, my POV is that it isn't a contest to see who can be the "best" atheist, or the "best" believer. We are who we are.
