One person's classic is another person's "WTF?"

The phrase ‘instant classic’ gives me the fantods.

Are you an Edward Gorey fan?  At one point in his life, he thought movies went downhill after they became talkies.

In 1973 he wrote a screenplay for a new silent film titled The Black Doll. For some reason, it was never produced.

However, he became more eclectic later in life and watched just about anything. He even wrote his own surreal plays and puppet shows.
