In 1973 he wrote a screenplay for a new silent film titled The Black Doll. For some reason, it was never produced.
However, he became more eclectic later in life and watched just about anything. He even wrote his own surreal plays and puppet shows.
Never heard of him.

Gorey liked to use the word "fantods" in his books, and published some of his books under The Fantod Press. See for instance.
