"It is the atheists who are claiming that biological science is in conflicts with Christianity."
Can you blame them, considering that Christians are trying to abolish the teaching of evolution in schools? Or does this guy think that atheists manipulated (certain) Christians into believing that evolution is in conflict with the Bible, and that is why they're trying to ban the teaching of evolution?
Oh well, the next time a Christian on this forum claims that evolution is a lie, I will tell him the "modern evolutionary theory is consistent with a Biblical worldview" and see how it goes.

Quote:'There is nothing in biological science that conflicts with Christianity', veteran scientist Sy Garte argues in new book
Newest discoveries in mainstream biology strengthen rather than weaken the truth of Christianity, according to eminent scientist Sy Garte, who argues that the latest research points directly to God’s creative power.
Garte said his purpose was to reassure Christians troubled by the common atheistic claim that evolution destroys the meaning of Genesis and forces believers to choose between science and faith.
The mainstream science of biology is not only compatible with Christian faith but is a strong evidential pointer to God’s majesty. Using clear summaries of current research, I call for a rejection of the ideology of reductionist naturalism that has led to a roadblock in scientific progress.
Garte challenges claims by skeptics who argue that Darwin’s theory of natural selection fully explains the complexity of life. While affirming that evolution is “undeniably valid,” he contends that it depends on a deeper principle: the universal biological property of inheritance through highly accurate self-replication.
Modern evolutionary theory is consistent with a Biblical worldview and can be used as an apologetic argument for a Creator God.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
