Still doesn't make sense, Frodo. What about the animals? They were just "killed" by humans. So was Jesus.
I'm sorry, but there is no getting around the fact that Christians just do not want god to have been okay with a human sacrifice. If god made the sacrifice to cleanse people of sin (or whatever) how is that a sacrifice? In fact, it is not really a sacrifice at all, given that the rest of him just went back to heaven. Without the human sacrifice aspect of it, it's a shitty story with more plot holes than Twilight.
Shell if the people had truly believed that Christ was the Son of God they would not have sacrificed him, look at Peter he tried to defend Christ and Christ stopped him, why because Christ knew that he must go to the cross, even Peter did not understand Christ must suffer and die, until after the resurrection. Look at it another way, the animals that were sacrificed before Christ were humanly, that is quickly killed, before they were used as a burnt offering, Christ suffered tremendously before he was put on the cross. Man sacrificed imperfect animals to cover their sin, only God could have sacrificed Christ the perfect One for man's sin.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
