Anybody remember the Gulf of Tonkin incident?

On 2 August 1964 there was a clash between a destroyer of the United States Navy that was collecting signals intelligence close to North Vietnamese waters, and three North Vietnamese naval vessels. On the night of 4 August, two US destroyers reported they were attacked by North Vietnamese vessels and that they were returning fire. Later investigation revealed that the 4 August attack did not happen; no North Vietnamese vessels had been present. Shortly after the events, the National Security Agency, an agency of the US Defense Department, deliberately skewed intelligence to create the impression that an attack had been carried out.

Also Iraqi soldiers threw babies out of incubators in Kuwait and had weapons of mass destruction, Gaddafi gave viagra to his soldiers to commit rapes, Assad used chemical weapons on his own people in Douma.

Any sentence which begins "US intelligence agencies say..." is very likely untrue.

You actually don't need to listen to US intel to see Putin's game plan. Anyone with half-a-brain can see that his end-game is to defeat and conquer Ukraine. Of course, "anyone with half-a-brain" probably excludes you.

Many of us are skeptical of US gov't motives and propaganda. Hell, I marched against the drum-up to war in late 2002 -- and I'm a Desert Storm vet. Didn't blind me.

Somehow you find FSB dope more credible than your own eyes. Poor little fool, you.
