‘Earthquakes’ near Area 51 may be government testing explosives: Avi Loeb
A recent swarm of earthquakes near Area 51 has prompted questions, and Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb told NewsNation’s “Jesse Weber Live” that it’s “unlikely” they were caused geologically.
“Well, it could be geological, although it’s unlikely, because why would it coincide with the location of Area 51? But more likely, if indeed it’s technological, it’s produced by humans, then they’re testing some explosives,” Loeb said. “It may well be that they’re testing some new technologies.”
Several earthquakes over the past 24 hours struck near Nevada’s Area 51, prompting speculation the seismic activity may have something to do with nuclear testing. Area 51 is a highly classified United States military installation within the Nevada Test and Training Range.
At least 17 earthquakes, including one with a 4.4 magnitude, were detected near Area 51. The 4.4 magnitude quake, according to The Daily Mail, struck just 2 1/2 miles underground. Most earthquakes in the region occur within the top 6 to 12 miles of the Earth’s crust, prompting questions about nuclear testing.
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration will be releasing the government’s UFO files in the near future.
“What I’m looking for is, of course, when President Trump declassifies, releases some videos or other information, I’m looking forward to analyzing it, trying to figure out what it means, even if it’s not human-made. I think the government probably has a hard time inferring what it means.”
