You are seeing someone whose mindset is
radically different to yours yet you still love her
[ presumably the feeling is mutual ] so just bear
that in mind because the foundation here is solid or
at least for now so that is something positive. She has
had greater access to her family who she no doubt loves
as well but going up against that is a struggle of Herculean
proportions. So she does not wish to discuss particular issues
then respect that decision and let it be. Over time she may then
become more open to both referencing them and even challenging
them too. But for now I would urge caution and just enjoy the love that
you give each other. Take one day at a time - no need to be unnecessarily
hasty here now. By the way you can not convert to atheism : is not a religion

Regarding homosexuality : sexual orientation is determined
at birth and is not something one chooses therefore. The physical
act of sodomy is not exclusive to gays and many staight men engage in
it when having intercourse with straight women. Is true that it is not conducive
to procreation but this would only be an issue if actually pre dominant amongst the
general population but it is not however. Agree with you about alcohol : not the drug itself
the misuse of it that is the issue. On marriage : I fully agree that once you are you should stay the
course. But it would be far better if it was actually abolished since we are not hardwired for monogamy
and that is the pre condition for it unfortunately. Furthermore you are not going to love someone one iota more
because you have a piece of paper and some metal on your finger. What determines compatibility is trust love and
understanding and not any thing else. Welcome to the forum by the way. Hope you stay here. But if you prefer to engage
with those who do not share your mindset however without being insulted I can recommend rational skepticism - there is strict
moderation against any insults of members which is enforced - furthermore it is the best rational site on the net bar none so check it out
