A running counter on the page displayed more than 3.1 million “encounters” at the time of its launch. An ICE tip line button invites visitors to “Report Suspicious Aliens.”
The Trump Administration has continually used dehumanizing language when targeting immigrants in the United States. Studies confirm that dehumanizing language increases anger and disgust toward the targeted group, making harsher policy more politically palatable to the public.
