I couldn’t read the phrase “homosexual communists” without remembering Straight Jacket, a bizarre (and honestly a bit crap) movie spoofing Rock Hudson’s lavender marriage and also HUAC for some reason, which culminates in this court hearing about “homosexual communists.”

Unfortunately, it looks like I and Matt Baume are the only people who’ve seen it, and somehow the only way I can show us is because somebody uploaded the entire film, and the relevant scene starts about 83 minutes in.





Also, the OP was even more baffling than usual. I know that exact episode of All in the Family that he's talking about.





Maybe I was just a child genius, but the apparent belief that gay men could be strong would undermine Western society would be more confusing to me than the idea that “some gay people can be masculine.”
