That's a big if. Christianity isn't based on human sacrifice. Jesus was, if you believe this sort of thing, the son of God which makes him at best only half-human. But actually, the argument goes that Jesus was God incarnate. Christianity, then, is actually based on God sacrificing some part of himself.

And even then it's not just a simple nail-me-to-the-cross sacrifice. It's a redeeming sacrifice. Which means that God actually bought something on behalf of all mankind. The price he paid was sacrifing some part of himself. What is it that he bought? Eternal life for all those who want it.

As for morality and ethics. If God buys something for you and wants to give it to you as a free gift, what's wrong with that? Dont you like buying gifts for your loved ones? I wish someone would buy something for me, like Enigma's latest CD. Enigma's really sexy. Try shagging to it sometime.
