And Semitic was a linguistic demographic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_languages not so much a genetic one.

Abraham did not have a son named Israel, his son's name was Issac. Issac married a women named Rebekah, she was from the city of Nahor in the land of Mesopotamia, this is where his father Abraham lived before God led him to Canaan. Ishmael's mother was an Egyptian and so was Ishmael's wife. Ishmael and his sons settled in southeast Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula. The bloodline of Ishmael and Issac were very soon diluted. I do not think that Ishmael was the father of the Arabs.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
