“My campaign, and the entire freedom movement, would not be as strong as they are today without a free Internet, and that’s just one of the reasons why the establishment hopes to censor it with SOPA and PIPA. I’m proud to see so many taking a stand today. Contact your representative and senators and tell them to oppose these disastrous bills.”
Ron Paul
He's batshit crazy why?
For his other views on reproductive rights, protecting the environment, protecting the disabled, protecting consumers, race relations & education for starters.
The list above doesn't leave a lot left, but everything else about his platform is pretty cool.
Please extrapolate. Because that doesn't explain much to me.
Lets discuss the issues then.
Abortion.
He is Pro-life. I am pro-choice. He has never said he wants to make laws against it, or for it. He is against late term abortions though(as am I). He is a little flip floppy on the abortion issue, but I'm sure he has no intentions of making it illegal or legal. Why do you need so many laws basically..
Environment
In 2005, supported by Friends of the Earth, Paul cosponsored a bill preventing the U.S. from funding nuclear power plants in China.
He has voted against federal subsidies for the oil and gas industry, saying that without government subsidies to the oil and gas industries, alternative fuels would be more competitive with oil and gas and would come to market on a competitive basis sooner.
Paul is opposed to federal subsidies that favor certain technologies over others, such as ethanol from corn rather than sugarcane, and believes the market should decide which technologies are best and which will succeed in the end.
He believes that nuclear power is a clean and efficient potential alternative that could be used to power electric cars.
He believes that states should be able to decide whether to allow production of hemp, which can be used in producing sustainable biofuels, and has introduced bills into Congress to allow states to decide this issue; North Dakota, particularly, has built an ethanol plant with the ability to process hemp as biofuel and its farmers have been lobbying for the right to grow hemp for years.
Health.
While he does not like universal care, which I support he did say this.
Paul has said that although he prefers tax credits to socialized medicine, he would be willing to "prop up" the current systems of Medicare and Medicaid with money saved by bringing troops home from foreign bases in places such as those in South Korea.
Race.
Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racist.
Consumers.
You need to fix the money system first is his approach. We can have credit protection bureaus and all this other junk, but guess what the bottom line is.... we shouldn't even need a credit system, that is all we know though so we think it's normal, but to spend money we don't have.. is what I would call bat shit crazy.
Of course I don't agree with everything. No one ever can. But to say he is bat shit crazy is a little obtuse
I would call Guantanamo Bay, killing civilians, assassinating American citizens, and invading sovereign countries bat shit crazy. But thats just me lol.
