Many,such as the lunar literalists seem to be see either or both. However,in my experience, most believers are neither.They seem to me to be, just ordinary people who believe things which seem odd to people who are skeptics,monists, realists, materialists.etc etc.
Some atheists adopt an unwarranted attitude of smug superiority,basing their argument on the facile logical fallacy of argument from incredulity.
