That's exactly where I tend to get a little fuzzy. Where does inspiration come from? Doing something creative is very different than solving a problem or performing a task well. When I think about making my garden it sometimes feels right to say I am just following its (the garden's) suggestions. Does my gardening activity turn my yard into a garden or me into a gardener? Both seem true. Fuzzy enough?
