Fixed that for you. Atheists don't "have to believe" in anything to explain anything. Atheism does not offer an explanation, atheism does not require knowledge of our origins.
Absolutely right, however when faced with the question "where did we come from?" an athiest must respond "I don't know/care" or with theories of evolution and cosmology. There are no other options.
